Biography[]
Tripdash was a skatepunk/melodic hardcore band formed in Newcastle upon Tyne UK in 2004 and which disbanded in 2009. The band played many shows throughout the UK during its tenure, including a co-headline tour (

Tripdash (L-R: Chad Welch, Jonny Rob, Johnny Walker, Matthew Collins)
with post-hardcore band Kaikoura) in 2008, and shows with such bands as This Is a Standoff , Fair Do's, Failsafe , Chixdiggit , Stiff Little Fingers and UK Subs .
Tripdash's debut EP, "I'm Not the Artist" (PassToTheLeft Records, 2007), received favourable reviews from the likes of AbsolutePunk, DyingScene , TechSkatePunk and PushtoFire. In early 2008 the French webzine MetalOrgie.com featured the EP as an "Album of the Week", describing it as "a shattering entry into the European scene".
After demoing new material across 2008 ("The Essential Cause", "Universal Export") and into the new year ("We Put the Sex into Sexuality", "Rhetoric", "Spiders"), the summer of 2009 saw the band play its final show in the members' home town.
